Padres top the Dodgers

The San Diego Padres started off their 2014 with a win on opening night in Petco Park. Their matchup with the already 2-0 LA Dodgers was a pitches duel early. Andrew Cashner went 6 solid innings giving up only 1 run. The Dodgers started Ryu, Kershaw is out on the DL. He was dominant, blanking the Friars for 7 innings. The Padres rallied in the bottom of the 8th against Brian Wilson, including a Seth Smith blast to gain a 3-1 lead, which was the final score. 26 other teams open on Monday and Houston and NY start it off on Tuesday.
