Braves lock up Teheran

The Atlanta Braves have signed 23 year old starting pitcher Julio Teheran to a 6 year extension. The deal is worth $32.4 million and has an option for a 7th season, and if that option is exercised, Teheran could earn $44.4 million. Teheran had a breakout season in 2013, pitching 185.2 innings after pitching only 26 combined in his first 2 seasons in the majors. He also had a 14-8 record, 170 k's, and a 3.20 ERA in 2013.
