Though it very early in spring training Yankees manager Joe Girardi has said that Brian Roberts would be the clubs opening day 2nd basemen. Roberts was signed late in the offseason and there is concern about him playing over 100 games, as he has not done so since 2009
Roberts was brought in by the Yankees this year due to the loss of Robinson Cano.
