A) Nelson Cruz- Cruz might be the best player left on the market, Ben Greico reported last week that the M's were in serious talks with Cruz. Cruz is a 30 HR guy, and has playoff experience. My pick:(LA Angels)
B) Stephen Drew- Drew brings both offense and defense to the table as we saw with Boston last year. Though he is not a 300 avg hitter, he is a solid lead off hitter. The Red Sox and Mets are the frontrunners for him, though the Mets have the edge considering he would start with the Mets.
My Pick: (NY Mets)
C) Ervin Santana- Another big name on the list. He might be the last starter on the list with ace caliber numbers. Santana has stayed very quiet through the offseason, yet I have a feeling he will sign before Burnnet, his only competion. My Pick:( Toronto Blue Jays)
Other Notables) Burnett is still in retirement talks, yet it looks like he will come back this year. I worry his stamina will run out come July so he does not make my list. Kendrys Moralles also has some pop, and a couple NL East teams are into him, yet I think he will underperform this year.
