As some of you know, Daniel Murphy was criticized for missing Opening Day to spend time with his wife Tori, as she went into labor on Monday morning. Murphy returned to game action against the Nationals today, but not before famous radio shows like "Boomer and Carlton" and "Mike's On!" (Mike Francesa) slammed Murphy for missing two games due to paternity leave. Are they kidding? Any other day in the 365 day calender, the critics are silent. But not on March 31st. It's two days. Two days that in the long run, will be the most important days of your life. Murphy's wife was exhausted, so Murphy took two days off, to take care of 1 day old Noah Murphy. I praise Murphy for defending himself in the situation. It was one of the most pathetic Sports stories in recent history, and I am very happy for Daniel Murphy.
