The Designated Hitter
In 1973, the DH was an experiment. A garbage experiment. It's a rule I could never adapt too. I have been a Mets fan for life, and I've noticed a fatal flaw within this rule. It lacks excitement, there is something that is un-characteristic about the DH rule. At least the DH is optional, which his what I would do if I was a AL manager. Pitchers hitting is apart of the game, point blank. Sure there are some bad hitting pitchers, but there are some mighty good ones. It's always been apart of Baseball. And should always be apart of the NL.
